Main Tasks
As part of your role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective adaptation and deployment of Sodexo’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Strategy across all operational sites. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing national legislation and comparing it with Group requirements to develop health, safety, and environmental procedures within the local management system.
- Maintaining the local Sodexo HSE Management System.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments.
- Developing and delivering HSE training programs.
- Managing incidents and administrating the SALUS system, which involves systematic registration of all accidents on-site, as well as near misses and observations.
- Preparing reports in the areas of occupational health, safety, and environmental management.
- Conducting HSE audits on-site, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards, and preparing for external audits.
- Building strong relationships with operational teams to drive behavioral change and achieve the best outcomes in occupational health and safety.
- Contributing to the delivery of high-quality services in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with budget and key performance indicators.
Competencies / Personal Specification
- A university degree in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
- Certification as an Occupational Safety Specialist.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the field of occupational safety.
- Proactive and analytical mindset, capable of collaborating with teams at all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
- Proficiency in German and English (intermediate level - B1 or equivalent); knowledge of French is beneficial.
- Experience in work safety, as well as project and process management.
