Hotel Housekeeper Job Responsibilities

The Hotel Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The key responsibilities include:

  • Performing cleaning duties in all apartments and guest areas.
  • Consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensuring housekeeping departmental standards are adhered to.
  • Responding promptly to guests’ special requests for items such as cribs, cots, or extra towels.
  • Maintaining an inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Reporting required maintenance items.
  • Following departmental policies and procedures diligently.
  • Adhering to all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Assisting other departments as needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Housekeeper Qualifications / Skills

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Previous housekeeping experience is essential.
  • Experience in the Switzerland hotel industry is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
