Your Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests on embarkation day and escort them to their staterooms.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service across all areas onboard.
  • Host and socialize with guests, handling special requests and reporting complaints to the Hotel Manager.
  • Ensure daily cleaning, setup, and service of staterooms adhering to Uniworld and HACCP standards.
  • Maintain ship-wide cleanliness, including flower arrangements and stateroom amenities.
  • Implement the “up serve” approach to enhance guest experience and support onboard revenue targets.
  • Organize and oversee the cleaning of public areas and daily laundry duties for guests and crew.
  • Store and maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment and assist with inventories.
  • Train other departments on cleaning procedures when necessary.

Specific Requirements

  • Manage housekeeping supplies, uniforms, and equipment, including ordering, storage, and inventories.
  • Oversee the quality of externally laundered items and report any anomalies.
  • Organize, train, supervise, and empower your team to work independently.
  • Manage housekeeping operations to achieve revenue, cost, and guest satisfaction goals.
  • Organize work and time according to daily programs and events.
  • Ensure compliance with working-hour regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
  • Actively participate in assigned learning activities, training sessions, and mandatory safety or emergency drills.
  • Contribute to ship preparation during end-of-season close-down and start-of-season set-up.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
