Hotel Housekeeper Job Responsibilities

The Hotel Housekeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our establishment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing cleaning duties in all apartments and guest areas.
  • Consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensuring that housekeeping departmental standards are upheld.
  • Responding promptly to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items such as cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Reporting any maintenance items that require attention.
  • Adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Following all safety and sanitation policies diligently.
  • Assisting other departments when needed to ensure optimal service to guests.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Housekeeper Qualifications / Skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

  • Residence in Switzerland is a must.
  • Previous housekeeping experience is essential.
  • Experience in the Switzerland hotel industry is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
