Your Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service in all guest-facing areas.
  • Lead ship briefings, engage with guests, and represent Uniworld's service culture consistently.
  • Supervise and coordinate work across all hotel functions, from the galley to the front desk, to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Organize, train, supervise, and guide your team, empowering them to excel independently and confidently in their roles.
  • Collaborate closely with the Captain and Cruise Manager to facilitate smooth onboard operations.
  • Implement and promote the “Up serve” approach to enhance guest experiences while supporting onboard profit targets.
  • Ensure adherence to Uniworld standards and HACCP cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
  • Maintain full compliance with safety, hygiene, and legal regulations.

Specific Requirements

  • Proven food and beverage expertise acquired in luxury four- or five-star hotels and/or onboard river/ocean vessels.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and monitor sales and profits to achieve targets.
  • Conduct regular monthly talks and daily briefings to establish goals, monitor progress, and encourage team alignment.
  • Plan holiday rotations and on/off-duty schedules, ensuring compliance with working-hour regulations as per law and GRC.
  • Regularly inspect facilities to address maintenance needs, equipment shortages, or renovation requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems (e.g., Mariner X’Change, company recipe database).
  • Actively participate in assigned learning activities, training sessions, and mandatory safety or emergency drills.
  • Contribute to ship preparation during the end-of-season close-down and start-of-season set-up.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
