You will lead the initiative to foster a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and global EHS standards at our Rapperswil site. Utilizing your excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and hands-on mindset, you will drive sustainable environmental, health, and safety initiatives throughout the organization, serving as a trusted partner to both management and employees.
Your Impact
Develop a positive safety culture and conduct safety risk assessments for all workstations.
Create and implement an EHS plan/roadmap in alignment with legal guidelines and Weidmann's global standards.
Formulate and execute an environmental management plan with the support of the Weidmann sustainability manager.
Design and deliver EHS training to local management and all employees.
Coordinate ISO 45001 audits and internal safety audits.
Oversee EHS reporting and assist management in driving sustainable improvement actions.
Ensure that all hazards, near misses, and accidents are professionally investigated with preventive actions taken sustainably.
Actively participate in the EHS global working group.
Your Qualifications
Relevant Swiss safety certificate (“SUVA-Spezialist/Spezialistin ASGS” or “Expert/in ASGS”).
Proven experience as a safety manager and a deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
Valid qualifications in occupational health and safety as well as project management.
Strong ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies on a global scale.
Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
Fluent in both written and spoken English and German; additional languages are a plus.
