The Role

In this role, you will take the lead in shaping a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with both legal requirements and global EHS standards at our Rapperswil site. With your excellent organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and hands-on mindset, you will drive sustainable environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the organization and serve as a trusted partner to both management and employees.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop a positive safety culture and conduct safety risk assessments for all workstations.
  • Create and execute an EHS plan/roadmap for the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines and Weidmann's global standards.
  • Develop and implement an environmental management plan alongside the Weidmann sustainability manager.
  • Design training programs on EHS matters and cascade these to local management and all employees.
  • Perform and coordinate ISO 45001 and internal safety audits.
  • Oversee EHS reporting and assist the management team with sustainable improvement actions.
  • Ensure thorough investigation of all hazards, near misses, and accidents, ensuring preventive actions are sustainably implemented.
  • Actively participate in the EHS global working group.

What Do You Bring?

  • Relevant Swiss safety certification (e.g., “SUVA-Specialistin/Spezialist ASGS” or “Expertin/Experte ASGS”).
  • Proven experience as a safety manager with a deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Valid qualifications in occupational health and safety as well as Project Management.
  • Strong capability in producing reports and developing relevant policies globally.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and oral; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
