The Role

In this position, you will play a vital role in cultivating a robust safety culture while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and global EHS standards at our Rapperswil location. Your organizational and communication skills, coupled with a keen attention to detail and a practical mindset, will empower you to champion sustainable environmental, health, and safety initiatives throughout the organization. You will be a trusted partner to both management and employees.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop a positive safety culture and conduct safety risk assessments for all workstations.
  • Create and execute an EHS plan/roadmap in accordance with legal requirements and Weidmann’s global standards.
  • Develop and implement an environmental management plan in collaboration with Weidmann’s sustainability manager.
  • Design training programs on EHS matters for the local management team and all employees.
  • Perform and coordinate ISO 45001 audits and internal safety audits.
  • Manage EHS reporting and support the management team in driving sustainable improvement actions.
  • Ensure thorough investigation of all hazards, near misses, and accidents, implementing preventive measures sustainably.
  • Actively participate in the EHS global working group.

What You Bring

  • Relevant Swiss safety certificate (“SUVA-Spezialist ASGS” or “Expertin/Experte ASGS”).
  • Proven experience as a safety manager with a comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Valid qualifications in occupational health and safety, as well as in project management.
  • Proficiency in report generation and developing global policies.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and oral; additional languages are an advantage.
