The Head of Strategy - Small Molecules will drive organic and inorganic growth strategy programs for the exciting Small Molecules segment, acting as the 'spider in the web' across a wide array of stakeholders, including top management, to ensure alignment on the definition and execution of initiatives critical to the company's ambitious growth plans.

Strategy
- Refine, execute, and track the 5-year strategic plan for the Small Molecules segment in alignment with organizational and corporate objectives, collaborating with key stakeholders across functions and reporting progress regularly to top management.
- Own the M&A pipeline for the Small Molecules segment, which includes criteria definition, scouting & screening, and synergy assessment, aiming for targets that fill Solvias's capability gaps or accelerate revenue and EBITDA objectives.
- Support strategic projects and initiatives, such as those in the digital area, that strengthen Solvias's value chain.
Product & Portfolio Management
- Track portfolio profitability and KPIs per customer, service, and location, driving optimization initiatives in collaboration with Finance.
- Drive business cases for portfolio development, maintenance, and rationalization for the Small Molecules segment in collaboration with Marketing, Science, and Finance.
- Ensure that client acquisition and maintenance align with the segmentation strategy in collaboration with Marketing.
Go to Market
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the Small Molecules segment, acting as an internal domain expert in collaboration with Marketing.
- Articulate target customers, value propositions, and sources of differentiation for the Small Molecules segment in collaboration with Marketing.
- Refine pricing frameworks and manage governance accordingly.
- Assess key potential partnerships for the assigned segment in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a scientific or business discipline.
- Significant experience in Strategy, Marketing, Business Development, or a similar role, ideally in the pharmaceutical or consulting industry.
- Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering measurable results.
- Skills in Strategic Planning, Project Management, Financial Modeling, Market & Competitive Insights, and segmentation.
- Hands-on, team player with strong analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive and board-level presentations.
- Ability to lead through influence and motivation, with a comprehensive view of the bigger picture as well as the details.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages (especially German and French) are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; PowerBI).
