Job Description
Strategy
- Refine, execute, and track the 5-year strategic plan for the Small Molecules segment in alignment with organizational and corporate objectives, collaborating with key stakeholders across functions, and reporting progress regularly to top management.
- Own the M&A pipeline for the Small Molecules segment, including criteria definition, scouting & screening, and synergy assessment, aiming for targets that address Solvias' capability gaps or accelerate revenue and EBITDA objectives.
- Support strategic projects and initiatives, particularly in the digital domain, that strengthen Solvias' value chain.
Product & Portfolio Management
- Track portfolio profitability & KPIs per customer, service, and location, driving optimization initiatives in collaboration with Finance.
- Drive business cases for portfolio development, maintenance, and rationalization for the Small Molecules segment in collaboration with Marketing, Science, and Finance.
- Ensure client acquisition & maintenance aligns with the segmentation strategy in collaboration with Marketing.
Go to Market
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the Small Molecules segment, disseminating findings throughout the organization while acting as an internal domain expert in collaboration with Marketing.
- Articulate target customers, value propositions, and sources of differentiation for the Small Molecules segment in collaboration with Marketing.
- Refine pricing frameworks and run governance accordingly.
- Assess key potential partnerships for the assigned segment in collaboration with Executive Committee members.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a scientific or business discipline.
- Significant experience in Strategy, Marketing, Business Development, or similar roles, ideally within the pharmaceutical or consulting industry.
- Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering measurable results.
- Skills in Strategic Planning, Project Management, Financial Modeling, Market & Competitive Insights, and segmentation.
- Hands-on, team player, analytical problem solver, with excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills suitable for executive and board levels.
- Ability to lead through influence and motivation, with the insight to navigate both broad overviews and detailed challenges.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages (especially German and French) are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; PowerBI).
