Job Opportunity: Head of Sales

The Head of Sales is accountable for the execution of all global sales activities related to the resort, in alignment with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Data Analytics. This role will oversee all global representatives and compile monthly reports regarding sales and marketing intelligence, working collaboratively with the global team across all markets. The Head of Sales should be passionate about sharing Fregate Island’s unique story to ensure an ideal match between the clientele and the Island.

Pre-requisites / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a competing property globally.
  • German native or fluent speaker, fluent in English, and at least one additional relevant Seychelles language such as French, Russian, or Arabic.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts with a successful sales track record.
  • Strong identification with the Fregate Island project and enthusiasm for the natural elements of the Island.
  • Experience and proficiency with CRM systems.
  • Systematic approach to maximizing sales team performance.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities for direct reports and on-property sales colleagues.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and understand financial data related to sales performance.
  • Exceptional networking skills with existing relationships in the Luxury Travel sector.
  • A strong network in Asian and GCC countries is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the year.
  • Excellent cross-functional working skills with analytical thinking capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills - friendly, humble, creative, persuasive, confident, culturally aware, and sensitive to surroundings.
  • Proficient in computer skills including reservation software.

Summary of Duties

  • Represent Fregate Island at major fairs, roadshows, and sales calls.
  • Establish new markets for Fregate Island while maintaining strong relationships with past and current contacts (B2B and B2C).
  • Plan and execute FAM Trips in collaboration with the on-site Sales Manager.
  • Generate bookings and upsell to clients.
  • Adhere to budget constraints.
  • Increase direct bookings while reducing commission payments by shifting DMC business to Travel Agent business, etc.
  • Support the Island as needed.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and share insights with Board Members and the commercial team.
  • Assist the DOSM in shaping the yearly strategy and budget.
  • Contribute as part of a small team and be willing to support other members, including occasional weekend work.

  • Achieve set targets in occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR).
  • Generate a number of new qualified leads.

  • Reduce commission payments.

Other Information

  • Report to work on time as per the schedule and as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Maintain courteous and professional relationships with all resort hosts and stakeholders.
  • Comply with all regulations established by the resort, both written and verbal.
