Job Overview

The Head of Restaurant Operations EMEA is a pivotal role responsible for leading and defining the strategic direction of Operations for all RBI brands in the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the Regional President EMEA, you will oversee ongoing innovation and development to support and enhance our brands within the region and the quick-service restaurant industry as a whole.

Your effectiveness in this role will be measured by strong outcomes in areas such as restaurant audits, guest satisfaction surveys, digital feedback, service speed assessments, operational effectiveness, and overall sales, in collaboration with teams across Restaurant Technology, Field Operations, Development, Digital, and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Strategy: Stay updated on best practices in the quick-service restaurant sector and help shape a visionary approach to delivering efficient, modern, and customer-focused operations.
  • Restaurant & Franchisee Performance: Collaborate with Franchise partners to consistently elevate performance at the restaurant and franchise levels, closely coordinating with Field Operations for each brand.
  • Operations Excellence: Supervise the testing and development of restaurant procedures for both new and existing products, prioritizing consistency, service speed, and simplicity.
  • Restaurant Equipment & Layout Design: Lead the Operations Equipment team to explore opportunities and devise innovative solutions aimed at improving efficiencies and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional service standards across all brands, driving the execution of guest experience projects and leading the regional Guest Experience Team to enhance key performance metrics.
  • Training: Collaborate with the international training strategy team to design programs for restaurant owners, team members, and regional corporate field staff, addressing region-specific training needs.
  • Labor: Identify labor market challenges and create proactive tools to support restaurant owners.
  • Restaurant Systems and Programs: Partner with the Restaurant Technology team to develop and refine a technology roadmap to boost restaurant efficiencies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in quick-service restaurant operations.
  • Previous business-to-customer operations experience is essential.
  • Experience in a franchised or similarly structured environment is required.
  • Familiarity with the EMEA region and cross-country experience is a plus!
  • Proven experience in leading regional strategy and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with a strong capacity for internal and external collaboration to achieve significant business outcomes across diverse markets.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel within the EMEA region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
