Drug Product Process Development Opportunity

The Drug Product Process Development (DPS) sector is crucial as Lonza expands its footprint in commercial Drug Product (DP) manufacturing, supported by strategic investments. This expansion necessitates a shift toward a late-stage product mix, with the Process Development team playing a pivotal role. We are eager for an experienced leader to guide the PD team during this exhilarating period of growth and innovation!

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Group Heads and Scientists, ensuring that process development stages for liquid and lyophilized parenteral drug products (DP) of biologics (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, novel formats, ADCs, LNPs) comply with internal and external standards.
• Establish a phase-appropriate DP process development strategy, ensuring alignment with local and global MSAT organizations throughout its development and implementation.
• Optimize networking and liaison with partner units to maintain strategic and technical alignment with Lonza's overarching strategy.
• Support quality and commercial functions during audits, customer visits, and program acquisition.

Key Requirements

• A PhD or MSc in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent experience is also welcome.
• Over 10 years of extensive experience in pharmaceutical development of biological drug products.
• Proven leadership experience in managing multi-tiered teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of German and French is highly valued.
