A reputable Geneva-based bank is facing a unique challenge. With a significant commercial client base that holds untapped private banking potential, we are seeking the right leader to bridge the gap between our commercial network and private banking division. The infrastructure and private banking teams are already established; now, we need a visionary to take us to the next level.
This position is not intended for a relationship manager with a portable client book, nor for a traditional private banker. We aim to find a candidate outside of the conventional private banking realm. The successful candidate will lead dedicated private banking teams serving the Geneva market, handling both domestic and international client segments. While these bankers manage daily wealth relationships, your responsibility will be to develop and implement a successful conversion strategy. You will create a disciplined process that transforms high-potential commercial relationships into private banking mandates, collaborating closely with the bank's commercial network.
This role reports directly to the Head of Private Banking, who is a member of the division's management committee. This structure affords significant weight and visibility within the organization. You will leverage an established cross-selling process that connects the bank's financing and commercial teams, emphasizing leadership and conversion rather than day-to-day credit or financing duties.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in corporate or commercial banking. They should be adept at communicating with entrepreneurs and business owners, understand the attributes that signify a commercial relationship's readiness for private banking, and have previous leadership experience with a proven track record of accountability for results. This is a transformational leadership role, where you will build the bridge between commercial and private banking, validate the model, and scale initiatives.
