  • Tracking fleet overall performance with the support of the technical manager.
  • Implementing enhancements and process changes.
  • Meeting report requirements and addressing vessel-related issues proactively.
  • Maintaining accountability among incumbents.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a clear vision and can set and manage strategic initiatives. An example of such an initiative is developing a “helicopter view” of what is best for Bunge and determining the direction the company should pursue. A key focus will be on sustainability, where we expect you to play a significant role in providing solutions that drive Bunge toward achieving its targets.

The successful candidate will be based in our trading center in Geneva, Switzerland, and will report directly to the Commercial VP of Freight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage P&I and marine insurance relationships; negotiate annual premiums with the Legal team.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Manager to manage all towage, agency, and supplier service contracts.
  • Support Operations in initiating and defending vessel-related litigation with Legal and P&I Club.
  • Stay fully versed in all current international regulations concerning shipping.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the dry bulk environment (operations and chartering).
  • Strong organizational and structuring skills, capable of implementing effective processes.
  • Proven experience in managing a large international team effectively.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution across borders with personnel and customers/clients.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
