About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished facilities and property leader to take charge of delivering technical facilities services across a complex and critical portfolio, which includes large commercial sites as well as the national headquarters. You will lead a team of Facilities Managers and support staff to ensure that the estate remains safe, compliant, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• People Management: You will be responsible for leading an operational team scattered across the UK. Experience in remote management and exceptional leadership skills are essential.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and experience are required as you will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, minor projects, and CAFM platform management. Relevant technical qualifications such as CIBSE, CIOB, or RICS are essential.
• Budget Management: You will oversee multi-million operational budgets, focusing on day-to-day financials, budget planning, cost reduction, and optimizations.
• Additional Responsibilities: These include compliance, risk management, sustainability initiatives, utilities management, and contractor oversight.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following essential experience and qualifications:

• Experience managing remote teams across different geographical locations.
• Strong people leadership skills, particularly in leading Facilities Managers.
• Technical qualifications such as RICS, CIOB, Surveying, or CIBSE.
• Proven experience in managing facilities services across complex commercial portfolios.
• Responsibility for seven-figure budgets.
• Experience managing national contractor networks.
• Strong understanding of compliance, health and safety, and risk management.
• Experience in managing sustainability and utility initiatives.
