Job Title: Head of External Opportunities/Fragrances Research

As the Head of External Opportunities in Fragrances Research, you will play a pivotal role in managing our external and internal collaboration partners. Your mission will be to enhance the value of innovative partnerships within the realm of Fragrance Science and Technology.

This position is based in our Innovation Center in Kemptthal and reports directly to the Head of Ingredients Research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scout technology partners for Fragrance Science & Technology opportunities in the field of fragrance ingredients and feedstocks, aligning with our projects and innovation strategy.
  • Lead the partner selection process with key stakeholders, including S&T, competitive intelligence, procurement, legal, IP, finance, the business sponsor, and Senior Management.
  • Manage collaborations with external partners effectively.
  • Utilize modern technologies to explore available networks and materials for strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain a robust network of consultants, participate in Givaudan memberships, and attend relevant conferences to keep the S&T organization abreast of the latest developments in ingredients and feedstocks.
  • Consolidate and capture ideas, needs, and opportunities within the field.

Professional Profile:

  • University degree (PhD), with expertise in life sciences, biotech, and green chemistry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of research program experience with external parties.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and fragrance molecules.
  • Business fluent in English, both written and oral.
  • Strategically and opportunistically minded, with expertise in proposal development and decision-making.
  • Skillful in communicating across diverse levels both within and outside the organization.
  • Extensive experience in the Fragrance, Beauty, and Taste & Wellbeing industries.
  • Proficient in utilizing modern technologies.
