Job Title: Head of External Opportunities / Fragrances Research

As the Head of External Opportunities for Fragrances Research, you will be responsible for managing collaboration with external and internal partners to enhance the value of innovative partnerships in Fragrance Science and Technology. This role is based at our Innovation Center in Kemptthal and reports directly to the Head of Ingredients Research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scout technology partners for Fragrances Science and Technology opportunities related to fragrance ingredients and feedstocks, in line with our projects and innovation roadmap/strategy.
  • Oversee the partner selection process involving key stakeholders, including S&T, competitive intelligence, procurement, legal, IP, finance, business sponsors, and senior management.
  • Manage collaboration with external partners effectively.
  • Utilize modern technologies to scan available networks and materials for strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain a network of consultants and ensure participation in relevant conferences to keep the S&T organization informed of the latest developments in ingredients and feedstocks.
  • Consolidate and document ideas, needs, and opportunities for future reference.

Your Professional Profile:

  • University degree (PhD) in life sciences, biotechnology, or green chemistry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of research program experience with external parties.
  • Understanding of production processes and fragrance molecules.
  • Business fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strategic and opportunistic thinker with a proven ability to make sound proposals and decisions.
  • Skilled communicator capable of interacting with different stakeholders at various levels, both within and outside the organization.
  • Extensive experience in the Fragrance, Beauty, and Taste & Wellbeing industries.
  • Proficient in the use of modern technologies.
