Job Opportunity: Head of External Opportunities/ Fragrances Research
As the Head of External Opportunities in Fragrances Research, you will spearhead collaboration with both external and internal partners to enhance the value of innovative partnerships in the realm of Fragrance Science and Technology.
This position is based in our Innovation Center in Kemptthal and reports directly to the Head of Ingredients Research.
Your Responsibilities
- Scout technology partners for Fragrance Science and Technology opportunities within the scope of fragrance ingredients and feedstocks, aligned with ongoing projects and the fragrance innovation roadmap.
- Manage the partner selection process in collaboration with key stakeholders, including S&T, competitive intelligence, procurement, legal, IP, finance, business sponsors, and senior management.
- Oversee collaboration with external partners to ensure effective communication and partnership development.
- Utilize modern technologies to scan available networks and materials for potential strategic partnerships.
- Maintain a strong network of consultants, participate in Givaudan memberships, and attend relevant conferences to keep the S&T organization informed about the latest developments in ingredients and feedstocks.
- Consolidate and capture innovative ideas, needs, and opportunities to drive growth.
Your Professional Profile
- University degree (PhD) with a specialization in life sciences, biotechnology, or green chemistry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research programs involving external parties.
- Strong understanding of production processes and fragrance molecules.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strategic thinker with an opportunistic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders across different organizational levels.
- Extensive experience in the Fragrance, Beauty, and Taste & Wellbeing industry.
- Proficient in leveraging modern technologies to enhance workflows and partnerships.
