About the Role
The Head of Corporate Affairs role within the EUCAN region is crucial for overseeing Communications, Public Affairs, Patient Advocacy, and Sustainability. This position engages and aligns the corporate strategy with both external and internal operational environments, addressing key challenges and uncovering opportunities. The Head of Corporate Affairs will drive strategic initiatives in External Leadership and Sustainable Partnerships, shape an environment conducive to Innovation, Growth, and Competitiveness, and empower an agile Corporate Affairs Function. All efforts will align with the broader EUCAN Strategy Framework, focusing on Patients, People, and the Planet.

How You Will Contribute
- Strategic Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership to the Corporate Affairs team, ensuring alignment with Takeda’s Global, GPD, and EUCAN Strategy Framework.
- Shape the external environment and reinforce the EU competitiveness agenda to facilitate Takeda’s innovation and upcoming launches.
- Champion strategic collaboration between Global, GPD, and EUCAN teams to maximize impact and organizational cohesion.
- Partnerships:
- Build and maintain empowering, long-term partnerships within strategically focused therapeutic areas.
- Enhance Takeda’s leadership externally by establishing sustainable partnerships that benefit patients, healthcare systems, and business.
- Corporate Reputation:
- Elevate Takeda’s corporate reputation by portraying the company as a global thought leader in innovation, digital health, and sustainability.
- Drive executive visibility and thought leadership to influence key stakeholders and instill confidence in Takeda’s strategic direction.

- Public Affairs:
- Champion leadership in shaping the EU Competitiveness and Innovation Agendas through active engagement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior EUCAN leaders participating in industry forums.
- Lead policy initiatives to support Takeda’s business priorities and foster innovation.
- Patient Advocacy:
- Drive Therapeutic Policy & Patient Advocacy programs to support Takeda’s leadership in therapy areas.
- Strengthen relationships with key European patient organizations to ensure patient-centered decision-making.
Expected Skills
- University degree, preferably a graduate degree.
- Over 15 years of pharmaceutical experience focused on public policy, communications, and patient advocacy.
- Significant leadership experience with multicultural and cross-country management.
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at navigating complex internal and external landscapes.
- Collaborative mindset, effectively driving impact through stakeholder engagement.
- Strategic thinking with a vision for the organization’s future.
