Position Overview: Head of Content Creation
The Head of Content Creation is entrusted with the overall responsibility for the entire art team, optimizing performance while collaborating with other leads and the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team comprising six in-house and two external 2D/3D artists.
- Define team responsibilities, identify opportunities, evaluate performance, and promote team members.
- Enhance team performance, define new roles, and recruit new team members.
- Communicate essential goals to the team, serve as a motivator, and set a positive example.
- Gather feedback from team members, ensuring discipline and fairness.
- Ensure deadlines are met while facilitating continuous improvement.
- Establish strong collaboration with the Head of Product, Head of Development, and CEO.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years of experience as a 3D artist or in a similar role.
- Proficient in established 3D modeling software, content pipelines, and custom tools.
- Experience with 2D tools, including Substance texturing tools and Photoshop.
- Strong leadership skills with high empathy for the motivational factors of highly skilled teams.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong organizational, moderation, and social skills paired with assertiveness.
- A robust portfolio showcasing released products you have contributed to.
- Fluency in German and English (B2 level or higher).
Preferences:
- Degree in game development, formal art education, or equivalent qualifications.
- Advanced knowledge of shader languages, scripting, and programming.
- Experience in the video game industry with shipped products.
