Position Overview: Head of Content Creation
The Head of Content Creation will be responsible for leading our entire art team. This role involves managing team performance and fostering collaboration with other leads and the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of six in-house and two external 2D/3D artists.
- Define team responsibilities, highlight growth opportunities, evaluate performance, and promote team members.
- Optimize team performance by defining new roles and hiring additional staff as needed.
- Communicate essential goals to the team, serve as a motivator, and set a positive example.
- Receive feedback from team members and maintain discipline and fairness.
- Ensure deadlines are met and valuable lessons are learned from each project.
- Foster close collaboration with the Head of Product, Head of Development, and the CEO.
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years as a 3D artist or in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of established 3D modeling software, content pipelines, and custom tools.
- Experience with 2D tools such as Substance texturing tools and Photoshop.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empathize with highly qualified teams.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging both technical and non-technical team members.
- Exceptional organizational, moderation, and social skills combined with strong assertiveness.
- A robust portfolio showcasing released products you have contributed to.
- Proficiency in both German and English (B2 level or higher).
Preferences
- Degree in game development, formal art education, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of shader languages, scripting, and programming.
- Experience in the video game industry, particularly on shipped products.
