Position: Head of Content Creation
The Head of Content Creation holds overall responsibility for the entire art team, optimizing performance through collaboration with other leads and the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of currently six in-house and two external 2D/3D artists.
- Define individual responsibilities, showcase opportunities, evaluate performance, and promote team members.
- Optimize team performance, establish new profiles, and hire additional team members as necessary.
- Convey essential goals to the team, act as a motivator, and lead by example.
- Gather feedback from team members while ensuring discipline and fairness within the team.
- Ensure deadlines are met and appropriate lessons are learned from each project.
- Foster close collaboration with the Head of Product, Head of Development, and the CEO.
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years as a 3D artist or in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of established 3D modeling software, content pipelines, and custom tools.
- Experience with 2D tools, such as Substance texturing and Photoshop.
- Strong leadership skills combined with high empathy for motivating highly skilled teams.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Great organizational, moderation, and social skills, along with assertiveness.
- A strong portfolio showcasing released products you have contributed to.
- Proficiency in German and English communication and writing skills (B2 level or higher).
Preferences
- A degree in game development, formal art education, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of shader languages, scripting, and programming.
- Experience in the video game industry, with a history of contributing to shipped products.
