We are currently seeking an outstanding Head of Competitive Sport to drive performance in sports and inter-school competitions starting September 2026. This is a dynamic and focused leadership role. The successful candidate will establish a structured and ambitious competitive program that embodies the standards and identity of VIS.

The Role
The Head of Competitive Sport will:
- Lead and coordinate all competitive team sports fixtures
- Enter appropriate leagues and competitions locally and internationally
- Develop a clear inter-school fixtures calendar across age groups
- Oversee team selection, coaching standards, and match preparation
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sport to align competitive and participation pathways
- Work in partnership with the Head of Academics to ensure strong alignment between sporting commitments and academic expectations
- Support performance monitoring and progression pathways
- Contribute to the continued development of our ski racing and performance sport identity
- Ensure high standards of organization, communication, and safeguarding
This role requires strong logistical skills, high energy, and a comprehensive understanding of structured school sports. The ability to teach IB Sports, Exercise, and Health Science would be an advantage.

- Holds international school experience, which is advantageous
