Role Overview

As Chef de Cuisine, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, leading culinary operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and developing new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer preferences.
  • Assisting with meal design and preparation planning.
  • Ensuring that kitchen activities are executed in a timely manner.
  • Providing support and mentorship to junior kitchen staff in line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Recruiting and training new kitchen employees to meet restaurant standards.
  • Creating schedules for kitchen staff and evaluating their performance.
  • Adhering to sanitation and safety regulations, implementing them throughout the kitchen.
  • Managing the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly experienced and qualified professional who meets the following criteria:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in a well-reputed restaurant or hotel.
  • Preferably holds a diploma or degree in Hospitality.
  • A commitment to work for a minimum of two years at our locations in Switzerland.
  • Sound knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine, particularly Chettinad cuisine, and Indian cooking techniques.
  • Proficiency in German is preferred.
