Chef de Cuisine - Indian Cuisine

Position Overview

As the Chef de Cuisine, you will play an integral role in our kitchen, responsible for:

  • Developing new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
  • Assisting with the preparation and planning of meal designs.
  • Ensuring that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
  • Providing support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Recruiting and training new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
  • Creating schedules for kitchen employees and evaluating their performance.
  • Adhering to and implementing sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Managing the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of ten years' experience in a well-reputed restaurant or hotel.
  • Qualifications: a diploma or degree in Hospitality is preferable.
  • A commitment to work for a minimum of two years at our restaurants in Switzerland is expected.
  • Sound knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine (preferably Chettinad cuisine) and Indian cooking techniques.
  • Proficiency in the German language is preferred.
