Chef de Cuisine - Indian
Join our esteemed Indian casual dining restaurant chain, a leader in South Indian cuisine with over 50 years of experience and 85 locations globally. We are currently seeking a talented Chef de Cuisine to bring expertise and passion to our kitchen, particularly in Chettinad cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Create authentic Chettinad and other Indian dishes, including the best butter chicken.
- Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
- Assist in meal design planning and preparation.
- Ensure timely kitchen operations and efficient workflow.
- Support junior kitchen staff with line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Recruit and train new kitchen employees to uphold restaurant standards.
- Create employee schedules and evaluate performance.
- Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Qualified with a diploma or degree in Hospitality (preferred).
- Willingness to commit to a minimum of two years at our restaurants in Switzerland.
- Strong knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine (preferably Chettinad) and Indian cooking techniques.
- Additional proficiency in German is preferred.
