Key Responsibilities
- Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
- Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs.
- Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
- Provide support to junior kitchen staff with line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Recruit and train new kitchen employees to uphold restaurant and kitchen standards.
- Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance.
- Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety guidelines.
- Manage the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Preferred diploma or degree in Hospitality.
- Commitment to work for a minimum of two years in our restaurants in Switzerland.
- Extensive knowledge of South Indian specialty cuisine, particularly Chettinad.
- Familiarity with Indian cooking techniques is essential.
- Additional proficiency in the German language is preferred.
