Key Responsibility Areas

  • Lead a global team of category managers.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct spend analysis, market research, supplier assessments, and demand forecasting to inform strategy.
  • Train and guide a global team on the Mediclinic Category Management methodology to ensure consistent global maturity.
  • Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including market analysis, supplier identification, tendering, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, audits, and supplier development initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align specifications, requirements, and quality standards.
  • Establish and lead Category Councils to support structured decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs to assess category performance and develop improvement measures.

Your Profile

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in strategic and operational procurement, including product and process standardization and supplier bundling in complex environments.
  • Strong leadership background in corporate and international settings, including team management and performance coaching.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to drive change and deliver results.
  • Forward-thinking, structured, and possessing strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
