Join Our Team as a Strategic Leader in Asset Optimization & Logistics IT
We’re seeking a strategic, team-oriented leader to oversee our Asset Optimization & Logistics Business IT function. In this pivotal role, you will ensure system reliability across Axpo’s energy trading operations and drive strategic change initiatives that support our future business needs across Europe.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 20–25 professionals managing business-critical 24/7 Asset Optimization & Logistics production systems.
- Co-develop the IT strategy architecture for key business platforms.
- Manage the operations of multiple 24/7 operational systems within the company.
- Oversee and shape the delivery of strategic Business IT projects for a diverse range of business lines.
- Act as a strategic partner for senior business stakeholders.
- Be an integral part of our wider Axpo Solutions IT Leadership team.
- Mentor and develop teams across multiple locations.
What You Bring & Who You Are:
- 10+ years of experience in IT, ideally within the energy or commodities sector.
- A flexible mindset, ready to grow and embrace challenges in an entrepreneurial environment.
- A balance between strategic thinking and a strong focus on operational excellence.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience in managing support and delivery, including multi-location and vendor teams.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and the full software development lifecycle.
- Expertise in balancing operational stability with long-term transformation goals.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
