Job Opportunity: Head of Asset Optimisation & Logistics Business IT
We are seeking a strategic, team-oriented leader to oversee our Asset Optimisation & Logistics (AO&L) Business IT function. In this pivotal role, you will ensure system reliability across Axpo’s energy trading operations and drive strategic change initiatives that support our future business needs across Europe.
What You Will Do:
- Lead a team of 20–25 professionals managing business-critical 24/7 AO&L production systems.
- Co-develop the IT strategy architecture for key business platforms.
- Manage the operations of multiple 24/7 operational systems within the company.
- Oversee and shape the delivery of strategic Business IT projects across a diverse range of business lines.
- Serve as a strategic partner for senior Business stakeholders.
- Be an integral part of our wider Axpo Solutions IT Leadership team.
- Mentor and develop teams located in multiple regions.
What You Bring & Who You Are:
- 10+ years of experience in IT, preferably within the energy or commodities sector.
- A flexible thinker, prepared to grow and embrace challenges in an entrepreneurial environment.
- A balance of strategic insight and a focus on operational excellence.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proven leadership in managing support and delivery, including multi-location and vendor teams.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and the full software development lifecycle.
- Expertise in balancing operational stability with long-term transformation goals.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
