Job Opportunity: Head of Asset Optimisation & Logistics Business IT
We are seeking a strategic, team-oriented leader to take charge of our Asset Optimisation & Logistics Business IT function. In this pivotal role, you will ensure system reliability across Axpo’s energy trading operations and drive strategic change initiatives that support our future business needs across Europe.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 20–25 professionals managing critical 24/7 AO&L production systems.
- Co-develop the IT strategy architecture for key business platforms.
- Manage the operations of multiple 24/7 operational systems within the company.
- Oversee and shape the delivery of strategic Business IT projects for a diverse range of business lines.
- Act as a strategic partner for senior business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the broader Axpo Solutions IT Leadership team.
- Mentor and develop teams based in multiple locations.
Your Profile
- 10+ years of experience in IT, preferably in the energy or commodities sector.
- A flexible thinker, eager to grow and embrace challenges in an entrepreneurial environment.
- A strong balance between strategic thinking and operational excellence.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills in managing support and delivery, including multi-location and vendor teams.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and the complete software development lifecycle.
- Expertise in balancing operational stability with long-term transformation objectives.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
