Global Head of Apparel Product Management
The Global Head of Apparel Product Management will be responsible for developing and scaling On’s overall apparel product vision. This role will define the next generation of our apparel product strategy, inspiring a fast-growing, ambitious team to create extraordinary products. The goal is to establish our brand as an outstanding and innovative leader in apparel, creating a legacy that distinguishes our apparel pieces in a competitive market, appealing to the most discerning consumers in performance running and luxury sportswear.
By partnering with key internal stakeholders in Design, Merchandising, Development, Go-to-Market (GTM), and Sales, this role will be pivotal in building the right product collections and strategies, while connecting them with our brand values and stories. This approach aims to elevate the consumer experience and perception across our verticals.
Your Mission
- Structure and organize On’s apparel product offerings across our verticals to enhance consumer perception, performance-level, quality, and price point relevance, guiding range decisions.
- Identify and develop product opportunities in collaboration with product leadership and key internal teams to bring these ideas to fruition across various ranges.
- Manage key collaborations to establish On as an authentic apparel brand.
- Serve as a strong discussion partner for the marketing and merchandising teams in crafting stories, messaging, campaigns, and drop calendars.
- Collaborate with Design, Development, and Sourcing Operations to ensure adherence to the creation calendar, delivering products on time and at the expected standard.
- Partner with the Merchandising team, GTM team, Key Account Managers, and DTC team to ensure a seamless GTM process, ensuring products reach the right consumer at the right time and within the correct pricing architecture.
- Set expectations within the team for key milestone meetings and lead preparations for both internal and external presentations.
- Build, nurture, and inspire a team of product managers by creating a diverse talent pipeline, empowering them through coaching and career development, and fostering an environment of belonging and well-being.
- Develop a structured range of collections according to company priorities and manage the product strategy from briefing to handover to marketing and sales.
- Stay informed about demand and supply, strategic efficiency topics, and margins.
Your Story
- Minimum of 9+ years of progressive work experience in a fast-paced product company with a strong track record in product management, creation, merchandising, go-to-market, or sales.
- Experience in apparel product management, blending fashion and performance/sports expertise.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in utilizing data to provide insights and resolve issues, improving the product management process.
- Exceptional communication skills that enable leadership through influence, articulating the apparel product strategy and vision to various stakeholders.
- People leadership skills, with at least 7 years of experience inspiring the apparel team and the broader On team to support On’s apparel vision.
- Proven expertise within the competitive sportswear landscape and consumer trends, with the ability to challenge and disrupt it, while maintaining a coherent approach across product, marketing, channel, and merchandising.
- Experience managing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and other product systems.
- Experience in progressive and innovative consumer insights initiatives.
