Position Overview
The Global Head of Apparel Product Management will be responsible for developing and scaling On’s overall apparel product vision. This role is crucial in defining the next generation of our apparel product strategy, inspiring a fast-growing and ambitious team to create extraordinary offerings, and establishing On as an outstanding and innovative leader in the apparel industry. The aim is to shape the DNA and appeal of our apparel pieces, ensuring they are chosen over competitors by the most discerning consumers in both performance running and luxury sportswear.
By collaborating with key internal stakeholders in Design, Merchandising, Development, GTM, and Sales, this role will be pivotal in building the right product collections and strategies. These collections will be aligned with brand values and narratives that elevate consumer experience and perception across our various verticals and engines.
Your Mission
- Structure and organize On’s apparel product offering across our verticals to enhance consumer perception, performance level, quality, and price point relevance.
- Imagine, identify, and develop product opportunities, partnering with product leadership and key internal teams to bring them to fruition.
- Manage key collaborations to establish On as an authentic apparel brand.
- Act as a strong discussion partner for the marketing and merchandising teams in crafting stories, messaging, campaigns, and drop calendars.
- Collaborate with Design, Development, and Sourcing Operations to ensure adherence to the creation calendar and timely delivery of products that meet expected standards.
- Work closely with the Merchandising team, GTM team, Key Account Managers, and DTC team to ensure a seamless GTM process, ensuring products reach the right consumers at the right time within the established pricing architecture.
- Set expectations within the team for key milestone meetings and lead preparations for internal and external presentations.
- Build, nurture, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a diverse talent pipeline and creating an environment of belonging and well-being through coaching and career development.
- Develop a structured range of collections based on company priorities and manage the product strategy from briefing to handover to marketing and sales.
- Maintain oversight of demand and supply, strategic efficiency topics, and margins.
Your Story
- Minimum of 9+ years of progressive work experience in a fast-paced product company with a strong track record in product management, creation, merchandising, go-to-market, or sales.
- Experience in apparel product management that encompasses both fashion and performance/sports.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; proven experience in utilizing data to provide insights for improving product management processes.
- Exceptional communication skills that enable you to lead through influence, effectively articulating the apparel product strategy and vision to diverse stakeholders.
- At least 7 years of people leadership experience, inspiring both the apparel team and the broader On team to support On’s apparel vision.
- Proven expertise in the competitive sportswear landscape, along with the ability to challenge and disrupt it while maintaining a cohesive approach across product, marketing, channel, and merchandising.
- Experience managing PLM and other product systems.
- Background in progressive and innovative consumer insights efforts.
