Your Mission:

To develop the advanced flexible use of airspace concept within Switzerland and establish the Swiss Airspace Management Cell (AMC) as an effective and dynamic body to implement collaborative decision-making processes for sharing airspace among all stakeholders.

Your Tasks:

  • Lead and manage the operations, development, and administration of the Airspace Management Cell (AMC) and its staff.
  • Ensure Airspace Management (ASM) for all airspace users (CIV IFR and GAT / MIL AOT), including responsibility for pre-tactical operations to support daily provision and updates of airspace use plans.
  • Special Use of Airspace Management: Coordinate and negotiate with internal, national, and international stakeholders on regulatory and operational topics.
  • Route Management: Collaborate with internal, national, and international stakeholders on route network and Free Route Airspace (FRA) development.
  • Maintain and promote partnerships with Eurocontrol, the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, Military Aviation Authority, Swiss Air Force, and others.
  • Represent the AMC at national and international levels.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Aviation, Airspace Management (ASM), or Air Traffic Management (ATM).
  • Several years of work experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven experience leading national and international meetings.
  • Ability to create a psychologically safe environment where individuals can express themselves without fear, fostering a culture of open feedback and feedforward.
  • Demonstrated credibility and accountability, maintaining transparency in actions and explanations, and consistently following through on commitments.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel for national and international meetings.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English; French is a plus.
