Role Overview
In this position, you will be an essential member of the Accelleron Switzerland Finance team based in Baden. You will lead the Switzerland-based accounting team and provide vital services to the business, ensuring accurate accounting of all related transactions for two holding companies and one principal company. Reporting to the Head of Finance Switzerland, you will be instrumental in the future development of the headquarters' accounting function.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of 9 accountants, ensuring personal skill development and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of statutory financial statements for timely filings with regulatory agencies.
- Ensure transparency in financial reporting by coordinating and reviewing internal controls across all accounting fields.
- Lead the accurate and timely completion of monthly accounting activities for three Swiss entities, including coordination of ad hoc work assignments.
- Ensure compliance with both internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements, providing accounting guidance for Switzerland and input to the Global R2R lead.
- Act as the lead for the accounting workstream during the S4 Hana implementation project, driving change management and best practice implementation.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including auditors, management, and local/global finance teams.
- Drive the implementation of best practices and continuously optimize relevant processes and cross-finance function topics.
Your Background
- University degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in a Financial Accounting function within a global company, combined with a team lead role.
- Excellent knowledge of Accounting Standards (USGAAP / Swiss GAAP FER) and General Accounting; Management Accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in SAP R3, S4 Hana, Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
- Experience with software implementation projects.
- Fully committed to meeting deadlines.
- Recognized as a strong team player, valued for collaboration and business partnering skills, with outstanding business acumen.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the initiative to optimize existing structures and processes.
- Able to navigate complex financial topics and translate results into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
