Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and researchers.
- Produce CAD models, technical drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, and testing plans for parts and assemblies.
- Engage in daily hands-on prototyping, testing, and debugging activities.
- Participate in collaborative hardware and system design across teams.
- Establish and maintain a culture of engineering best practices.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficient in integrating complex hardware components, ensuring seamless operation across robotics platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, manufacturing, and testing custom actuation for robotic systems, particularly in integrating frameless pairs for rotary actuation.
- Deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas: robotic actuation, system-level architecture for complex electromechanical systems, safety-minded best practices for human-interfacing systems, and complex mechanism design.
