We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team in Haag, Switzerland as a Hardware Development Engineer for Global Engineering for Assembly & Testing. In this pivotal role within the Industrial Engineering division, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, maintaining, and standardizing solutions tailored for assembly line and end-of-line testing equipment. Your contributions will significantly enhance the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our manufacturing processes.

Your Challenges

  • Full Lifecycle Assembly & EOL-testing Devices Development:
    • Execute the complete development life cycle for automated and system-controlled assembly and End-of-Line testing devices, focusing on electronics hardware & software.
    • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions that adhere to industry standards and comply with best practices.
  • Project Management and Documentation:
    • Craft well-structured technical specification sheets that fulfill CE-Conformity Levels.
    • Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
    • Integrate electric & electronic components into a fully functional system.
    • Create verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
    • Optimize and upgrade existing solutions.
    • Document and maintain functionality and technical definitions.
    • Evaluate user feedback and implement necessary updates.
    • Provide third-level support to local sites.

Your Competencies

  • Experience as a Process Engineer or Development Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in topics related to connectivity of manufacturing equipment and logistics systems.
  • Keen understanding of automation in Assembly and End-of-Line testing processes.
  • Experience in cross-functional project management.
  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proficient in development processes and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Good communication skills in English and German.
  • Knowledge of software and data storage processes is advantageous.
