Hardware Development Engineer for Global Engineering for Assembly & Testing

As a Development Engineer in Industrial Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, maintaining, and standardizing solutions specifically tailored for assembly line and end-of-line testing equipment. Your contributions will directly enhance the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our manufacturing processes.

YOUR CHALLENGES

  • Full Lifecycle Assembly & EOL-testing Devices Development:
    • Execute the entire development life cycle for automated and system-controlled assembly and End-of-Line testing devices, with a focus on electronics hardware and software.
    • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions that adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  • Project Management and Documentation:
    • Craft well-structured and accurate technical specification sheets that meet CE-Conformity Levels.
    • Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
    • Integrate electric and electronic components into a fully functional system.
    • Create verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
    • Optimize and upgrade existing solutions.
    • Document and maintain functionality and technical definitions.
    • Evaluate user feedback and implement necessary updates.
    • Provide third-level support to local sites.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Experience as a Process Engineer or Development Engineer, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in topics related to the connectivity of manufacturing equipment and logistics systems.
  • Experience in the automation of assembly and end-of-line testing processes.
  • Background in cross-functional project management.
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic science, engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in development processes and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics and electrics.
  • Good communication skills in both English and German.
  • Familiarity with software and data storage processes is beneficial.
