Position: Group Reporting Expert
As a Group Reporting Expert at Accelleron, you will play a crucial role in preparing the Group’s published consolidated Financial Statements. You will be responsible for finance and accounting management, which involves collecting, processing, and presenting accurate financial data. Additionally, you will provide financial and operational feedback on the organization’s performance to inform management and stakeholders. You will work closely with the Group Consolidation Expert and the Group Internal Group Expert, directly reporting to the Head of Group Accounting & Reporting.
Your Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
- Manage and coordinate global Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, including maintaining accounting policies, fixed assets management, and ledger integrity.
- Prepare the Group’s published half-year and year-end consolidated Financial Statements (US GAAP).
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial and management reports generated through ERP systems, including updates for changes in financial master data (e.g., chart of accounts, entity structure, reporting codes, etc.) and support on group consolidation as required.
- Compliance:
- Proactively shape, monitor, and operate a robust compliance environment with applicable policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring they are valid and updated regularly.
- Ensure all GAAP standards and public reporting requirements are met, liaising with external service providers when necessary.
- Coordinate and manage external audits of the Group’s financial statements, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Technical Expertise and Process Improvement:
- Provide technical accounting advice and support based on US GAAP and Accelleron’s Group accounting policy to the finance organization.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the R2R process to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize ERP systems and financial tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain stakeholder relationships with high integrity and effective communication.
- Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing, cooperating with various stakeholders about Internal Control, Information Systems functions, and Accounting services.
Your Background and Qualifications
- CPA (K), ACCA, or ACA qualification is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years in a senior accounting role, focusing on financial reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrable expertise in US GAAP with hands-on experience in financial reporting and compliance frameworks (i.e., internal controls).
- Strong technical and managerial accounting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills, with experience in R2R processes.
- Proven ability to implement and maintain internal controls.
- Proficiency in stakeholder and project management, including planning and organizational skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented personality with the ability to drive change and promote cooperation.
