KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Architecture & Technology Leadership

Guide the run structure of architecture.

Operational Resilience & Cybersecurity

Ensure global service reliability, performance, and lifecycle governance.

  • Own ABB’s cybersecurity posture, risk governance, and IAM strategy.
  • Lead infrastructure, cloud, integration, disaster recovery, and vendor/SLA governance.

Institutional Capability Building

Strengthen internal capabilities across Customer Experience (CX), platforms, SAP, architecture, data, and cybersecurity.

  • Reduce reliance on external integrators and embed strong service ownership with a deep knowledge base internally.

Financial Governance

Provide full transparency of IT costs and ensure disciplined investment decision-making.

  • Support program benefit realization and manage sustainable post-transformation run costs.
  • Position IT investment as a strategic capability rather than discretionary spend.

Strategic Business Partnership

Drive IT enablement for M&A integrations and carve-outs.

  • Balance innovation velocity with architectural discipline.
  • Elevate IT as a strategic partner across the enterprise.

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Prior CIO experience in a multinational industrial environment with proven international leadership experience.
  • A strong record of leading in decentralized business models across multiple regions and countries.
  • Demonstrated cybersecurity governance expertise and operational resilience leadership.
  • Experience integrating large transformation programs into business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
