The mission of IRP – International Foundation for Research in Paraplegia, founded in 1995 in Geneva, is to provide funding for both basic and clinical research in the field of paraplegia. Current Opportunity: Grants / Office Manager (40% yearly average)

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished individual (m/f) to fill a vacancy in our Zurich office, starting on June 2nd, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, particularly in the Swiss German market, including companies, foundations, and individuals.
  • Manage relationships with existing donors and partnerships.
  • Establish and maintain a database to keep all donor contacts and leads updated.
  • Coordinate grants with the Scientific Committee, including the yearly call for project grants, dissemination to researchers and institutions, application processing, and the preparation of evaluation forms.
  • Organize meetings and minutes, follow-ups, and draft new contracts while maintaining an annual list of project payment due dates.
  • Request interim, final, and financial reports as necessary.
  • Oversee the organization of the Schellenberg research prize.
  • Prepare monthly payments in collaboration with headquarters.
  • Create communication materials such as fundraising documents and social media content, including IRPneuronews.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of charity events.
  • Coordinate with the Geneva office and report to the Executive Committee.

Profile

The ideal candidate will resonate with our mission to support individuals with paraplegia. They should have several years of proven experience in secretarial tasks, communication, and numerical analysis, with additional experience in foundation administration considered a plus.

Personal qualities such as confidence, initiative, and professionalism are essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate a high level of autonomy and effective skills in their previous roles.

Language Requirements

Fluency in German with strong writing skills is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English and a good understanding of French. A Swiss work permit is mandatory.
