The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grade 6 teacher who can engage and inspire learners through their passion and professional practice. The ideal candidate will possess significant Upper Primary/Lower Secondary experience, specializing in English and Humanities/Social Studies. They should be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a team of dynamic, professional teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. A teacher at ZIS will hold high expectations for students, maintain a mentor mindset, and be comfortable differentiating content and instruction across all courses.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience teaching this age range, preferably in an international school setting.
• For non-Swiss/EU applicants, extensive international experience is required.
• Learner-centered focus, with the ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs.
• Teaching license including specialism; Master’s level study preferred.
• Documented record of excellence in teaching.
• Experience with interdisciplinary teaching.
• Commitment to collaborative planning and teaching.
• Integration of technology into curriculum.
• Understanding of concept-based curriculum and instruction.
• Inquiry-based pedagogical approach.
