About the Role

The GPD Strategy and Marketing Lead, GI, Senior Director role is a vital position that supports the GPD MCE head of GI Strategy & Marketing and the GI franchise community across GPD. The primary focus is to further develop and refine the brand strategy, ensuring the success of LOC franchises through the following initiatives:

  • Embracing the MCE operating model and fostering co-creation, best practice sharing, and the execution & tracking of franchise priorities across LOCs.
  • Supporting cross-functional alignment and leveraging resources, skills, and capabilities in LOCs and Regional & Global functions, including Medical, PVA, DD&T, and Finance.
  • Driving bold growth for Entyvio—our #1 brand through FY25—by honing our competitive edge and enabling patients to live life to the fullest.
  • Managing the Entyvio Lifecycle Strategy, focusing on lifecycle initiatives such as Pediatric launch, brand maximization strategies, competitive readiness, and new market opportunities across EUCAN and GEM.
  • Championing DE&I initiatives in IBD as a strategic priority.

How You Will Contribute

Portfolio & Brand Planning / Strategy

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of current and future market trends, key success factors, and competitive dynamics across priority GI brands (Gastrointestinal & Inflammation: ~O¥ 3250 Net Sales by FY29).
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge about related GI diseases, treatment approaches, patient journeys, competition, brand strategy, and priorities.

Support the GPD MCE Head of GI Strategy & Marketing

  • Serve as the primary MCE point of contact with GPLS, leading lifecycle initiatives such as biosimilar entry readiness, pediatric pre-launch, and broader brand maximization projects.
  • Evaluate and prioritize brand maximization opportunities across EUCAN and GEM to ensure sustained growth and competitive differentiation.
  • Lead the DE&I in IBD initiative, translating it into tangible programs that positively impact patients, HCPs, and the broader IBD community.
  • Collaborate and problem-solve with regions and LOCs to achieve targets and maximize brand performance.
  • Develop a consolidated GPD perspective for inline launches based on commercial sub-team interactions on key products, especially in the context of pediatric launch and brand max initiatives.
  • Refine the GTM plan based on first-launch learnings and recent market events; develop plan update communications for LOCs, Regional Presidents, and Regional Bus Ops.
  • Co-create and adapt brand plans, materials, and templates with input gathered through listening sessions.
  • Support the regional brand planning process and the development of appropriate medical and commercial strategies linked to LCM evidence generation.
  • Contribute to the development of region-specific priorities, key initiatives, and KPIs while facilitating cross-functional execution.
  • Provide GPD commercial input in assessing GI BD projects and building competitive intelligence and strategies for upcoming competitors.
  • Assist in developing pricing and access strategies for late lifecycle stages, including pre-LOE and post-LOC/post-biosimilar contexts.
  • Enhance Entyvio's leadership positioning in IBD through priority external engagements, including KOL engagement and congresses.

Change Management and Ways of Working

  • Lead the co-creation of commercial strategies and content in partnership with LOC teams through an agile, integrated operating model—ensuring local relevance, scalability, and alignment with GPD priorities across EUCAN and GEM.
  • Activate and embed the “GPD Way” of working, promoting cross-functional collaboration via Collaboration Councils, Co-Creation Teams, and Engagement Forums.
  • Champion agile execution and knowledge sharing by utilizing the MCE Knowledge Hub and reusable content frameworks to accelerate launch readiness and drive patient-centric innovation.

Skills

  • Embed technology-forward and AI-enabled approaches across strategy and execution, utilizing advanced analytics and automated content workflows to enhance decision-making and streamline operations.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the GPD healthcare landscape, including the commercialization of assets and awareness of evolving trends and regulations.
  • Experience in TA-aligned franchise teams.
  • Familiarity with formulating brand and franchise strategies and how they translate into operational priorities.
  • Strong ability to foster trust-based partnerships through effective communication and collaboration across the GPD organization.
  • Demonstrated passion for driving results and making a positive impact for patients and GPD on a global scale.
  • Ability to navigate decision-making processes within a complex organization and analyze business and financial performance effectively.
