About the Role

The Senior Director, GPD Strategy and Marketing Lead for Dermatology offers a unique opportunity to shape Takeda's inaugural commercial footprint in Dermatology through essential engagements at national congresses, regional conferences, and by leading commercial Advisory Boards and peer-to-peer (P2P) interactions.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead pre-launch non-promotional and post-launch promotional initiatives by developing and executing strategic marketing plans for educational programming and conference participation. This position is particularly crucial as Takeda ventures into the Psoriasis therapeutic area, helping to cultivate a culture of trust and excellence among internal teams and external partners in a rapidly evolving market.

You will report to the Head of GPD Strategy & Marketing Dermatology, part of the MCE team (Marketing & Commercial Excellence). The MCE Team facilitates patient-focused marketing and agile commercial execution by co-creating and amplifying content, capabilities, and insights across GPD.

Key Responsibilities

The GPD Strategy and Marketing Lead for Dermatology will further develop and refine the brand strategy to support LOC franchise success through external engagement:

  • Thought Leader Engagement: Foster advocacy and co-create educational initiatives by engaging with national and regional dermatology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and experts in psoriasis through congresses, conferences, and digital platforms.
  • Insight Generation: Collect, analyze, and share insights on treatment trends, unmet needs, and brand perceptions from HCPs, KOLs, and patient communities to guide strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • Customer Engagement Strategy: Champion communication strategies, and facilitate the creation, execution, and communication of congresses, conferences, advisory boards, and P2P engagements for the dermatology brand.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, ethical, and impactful KOL interactions, driving an optimal patient experience.

How You Will Contribute

External HCP Engagement

  • Proactively identify, map, and build relationships with national and regional dermatology KOLs and dermatologists treating psoriasis patients.
  • Facilitate high-quality exchanges and challenge existing assumptions with strong influencing skills.
  • Ensure alignment with brand objectives by engaging KOLs through congresses, conferences, advisory boards, and digital platforms.
  • Capture expert perspectives through two-way dialogues, fostering advocacy and co-developing educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant and ethical KOL interactions.

Gather, Share, and Act on Insights

  • Collect and analyze insights on treatment trends, unmet needs, and brand perceptions from HCPs, KOLs, and patient communities.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of current and future market trends and competitive dynamics across priority GI brands.
  • Leverage structured insight-gathering tools for informing strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for brand positioning and messaging.
  • Share synthesized insights with LOCs and global teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Brand Strategy Execution

  • Localize and implement global brand strategies to ensure regional relevance and resonance.
  • Support the execution of P2P programming, including speaker programs and digital learning modules.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives to maximize impact and engagement.
  • Collaborate with LOCs and cross-functional teams for consistent, high-quality delivery of brand messages.

External Stakeholder Engagement Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute a comprehensive external engagement strategy, leveraging both non-promotional (pre-launch) and promotional (post-launch) approaches.
  • Develop omnichannel engagement plans tailored to HCP and patient needs.
  • Lead the rollout of innovative digital campaigns, optimizing customer journeys.
  • Continuously evaluate engagement effectiveness using analytics and feedback.
  • Support global and regional teams in enhancing LOC readiness and aligning future launches with digital innovations.
  • Foster expert-level omnichannel maturity across LOCs for executing customer-first digital strategies.

Internal Communication & Community Engagement

  • Ignite the psoriasis community through timely and engaging internal communications.
  • Empower LOCs and stakeholders with relevant information to act with clarity and alignment.

Skills Required

  • Therapeutic & Market Expertise: Commercial experience in dermatology (preferably psoriasis) is essential, along with a strong understanding of global healthcare markets.

  • Experience in patient engagement and services in psoriasis is an asset, emphasizing collaboration with Patient Service Leads and Advocacy Teams.
