Job Opportunity: Golang Architect

RED Global is seeking an experienced Golang Architect to join a large-scale cloud-native transformation program. This initiative focuses on building and delivering modern integration services, platform capabilities, and open-source solutions within a highly innovative environment.

This role is pivotal in defining architecture, guiding development teams, and constructing scalable cloud-native applications and integration scenarios, with a particular emphasis on Go, Kubernetes, DevOps, and contemporary open-source technologies.

Project Details:

  • Contract Duration: Until December 2027
  • Location: Europe (100% Remote)
  • Languages: English (German desirable)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and document architecture for cloud-native services, applications, and integration scenarios.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable development deliverables.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable Go-based microservices and distributed systems.
  • Establish and document DevOps, CI/CD, operational, and deployment concepts.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and product stakeholders across international teams.
  • Contribute hands-on to development, technical documentation, testing, and solution validation activities.
  • Present architectural decisions, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience developing software in Go/GoLang.
  • Strong background in designing and building cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s), including building, scaling, and operating production clusters.
  • Experience developing Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, CRDs, or platform automation tooling is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Git-based development practices.
  • Experience with Docker, Linux, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and cloud-native tooling.
  • Exposure to TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a highly technical environment.
