GNC/AOCS Engineer Position in Denmark
Darwin Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled GNC/AOCS Engineer to join our dynamic team in Denmark. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge spacecraft technology and contribute to exciting missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design AOCS solutions and integrate, test spacecraft AOCS components and algorithms tailored for customer-specific missions and spacecraft.
- Engage with customers to discuss requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Specify, evaluate, and select spacecraft attitude determination sensors and actuators appropriate for customer-specific missions and spacecraft.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to define architecture and spacecraft design based on the required attitude determination and control system performance.
- Perform simulation and development using tools such as MatLab, Simulink, C, and C++.
- Develop AOCS software, including components compatible with both our qualified parts and customer-provided components.
- Prepare AOCS documentation customized for specific missions and spacecraft.
- Support the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of AOCS components and software in cleanroom environments and in-orbit.
- Contribute to the evolution of spacecraft AOCS architecture, focusing on components and systems that achieve high pointing performance. Develop and maintain technical reference documentation related to AOCS architecture definition, design, and development.
Requirements
- Relevant technical knowledge through education (preferably at MSc level or higher) in Control and Automation or related fields, along with professional high-tech experience.
- Strong understanding of CubeSat/spacecraft attitude determination and/or control systems.
- Preferable experience in spacecraft systems engineering.
- Recent involvement in projects focused on developing space hardware and/or software, ideally in spacecraft attitude determination and/or control.
- Familiarity with spacecraft attitude determination and control system components like IMUs, star trackers, reaction wheels, and reaction control systems.
- Interest in spacecraft propulsion systems.
- Proficient programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., C, C++, Python, MatLab).
- Experience with Linux-based systems.
- Hands-on experience with programming microcontrollers is desirable.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in customer-facing roles, adept at explaining complex technologies in easy-to-understand terms.
- Fluent in English at a professional level.
