Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-level and technically complex calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance (PM), ensuring accurate and timely GxP documentation while adhering to client-specific policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance, direction, and effective solutions to clients and technical resources.
- Proactively manage client-owned equipment, ensuring proper handling and maintenance while training other associates on best practices.
- Identify and initiate scope changes, effectively communicating these to clients and processing the relevant requests.
- Assess project safety concerns proactively, ensuring compliance with all client and site safety requirements.
- Strategically evaluate client environments and needs to develop and implement effective solutions through solid relationship-building.
- Understand and execute GMP and compliance practices related to client instrumentation needs.
- Develop functional instrument requirements and facilitate instrument procurement for clients.
- Oversee equipment services and instrument procurement, partnering with and assisting third-party technical services.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Management, Life Sciences, or a related technical field (or equivalent military training) with over five years of instrumentation experience in the Pharmaceutical/Quality industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in project management, consulting, supervision, and client relations.
- Proficient in independently initiating instrument specifications, installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in calibration and instrumentation within the process and/or analytical service fields; must be a technical advisor across various life science industries.
- Solid knowledge of incubators, centrifuges, balances, refrigerators, freezers, stability chambers, chromatography (HPLC or GC), spectrophotometers, and other general laboratory equipment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German is a plus.
