How You Can Make an Impact

At Deloitte Global Trade Advisory, we are dedicated to equipping our clients with the tools they need to navigate the evolving landscape of global trade. As a member of our team of trade compliance professionals, your role will involve:

  • Maintaining an overview of the intricate regulations governing international trade.
  • Simplifying complex concepts related to customs, export controls, sanctions, and sustainability laws into practical solutions.
  • Strengthening the resilience, compliance, and sustainability of our clients’ supply and value chains while ensuring operational efficiency.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Understanding and translating the legal and technical requirements of emerging trade compliance regulations into actionable business requirements. This includes Free Trade Agreements and various regulations related to customs valuation, tariff classification, as well as Swiss and international Export Control and Sanctions schemes.
  • Driving and coordinating client projects related to these regulations.
  • Designing and implementing necessary governance, processes, and systems to ensure compliance and operational continuity for our clients.

You will also conduct research on relevant legal topics, develop new service offerings in this field, and participate in marketing activities. The world of Global Trade is ever-evolving.

Who We Are Looking For

  • An academic background in Law is highly desirable, although candidates with degrees in International Relations, Economics, International Trade, or similar fields with a focus on regulatory compliance are encouraged to apply.
  • First professional experience, preferably related to supply chain compliance or international trade, is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to convert new regulatory developments into service offerings are essential.
  • A strong aptitude for legal and regulatory analysis, with the capability to deconstruct complex legal texts into clear, actionable business strategies.
  • Fluent communication (in a professional capacity) in German and English is required; proficiency in French is an advantage.
