Global Pricing Manager (m/f/d)

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for understanding business objectives and developing a pricing strategy that supports these company goals. Your work will involve determining pricing schemes for products and services, coordinating with production sites to understand manufacturing costs, and collaborating with the marketing team on appropriate campaigns and promotions. You will also have regular interactions with product management to ensure that distribution, warehouse handling, and related expenses are considered when pricing products.
Your Tasks:
- Develop a pricing strategy and model that supports sales efforts in collaboration with Product Managers.
- Create and maintain a competitive pricing and fair market value database.
- Define a simplified framework for customer agreements to facilitate engagement.
- Establish brand price positioning, target price gaps, and revenue models to optimize pricing against competition and market trends.
- Analyze and interpret pricing data versus costs using standard statistical tools and techniques.
- Develop analytical tools/models to quickly and accurately determine contribution margins.
- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting product pricing and profitability.
Your Profile:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in social science with a specialization in research, marketing, or quantitative research.
- At least 5 years of practical experience as a pricing manager, ideally in an industrial company or analytics agency.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work across diverse teams and departments.
- Knowledge of supply chain and production cost structures.
- Strong understanding of the selling cycle and processes to support the sales organization with timely and relevant data.
- Familiarity with pricing tools such as PROS, Vendavo, or others.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel (pivot tables, advanced calculations, and formulas), and data importing for visual representation.
- Professional level proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Important information: The position can also be filled in other countries besides Switzerland.
